Background

On December 11, 2021, our entire world irrevocably changed in ways we could never have anticipated. We lost my beloved son Dylan to an undiagnosed medical condition that took him far too soon. He was not only a cherished brother and a devoted relative but also a loyal friend to many. Just prior to this tragic event, he had recently graduated from Temple University, filled with dreams and aspirations, and eager to spring into the next exciting chapter of his life journey.

Finding Ourselves & Honoring Dylan

We've spent the better part of two long years trying to navigate this new and unsettling world, and while there have certainly been various attempts to occupy our minds and bodies, the gravity of this profound loss continues to relentlessly consume our thoughts and emotions. Since the heartbreaking loss of Dylan, we've asked ourselves how we can best honor him and keep his memory alive, and I think that we've finally figured it out—it will be through togetherness, creativity, a strong sense of community, and by reaching out to help those who are in need.

The Bigger Picture - What's Next?

As a close-knit family, we've always taken it upon ourselves to donate clothing, toys, school supplies, Christmas gifts, and various other items to both friends and even strangers in need; however, after reflecting deeply on Dylan's cherished legacy, we came to the realization that we needed to do even more. Through this new and inspiring endeavor, we intend to shift our focus significantly and truly make a lasting difference in our community, and we will be undertaking this meaningful work in honor of Dylan's name and memory.
